Primary Therapist
Aolani is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. She is currently the Clinical Director and one of the primary therapists at Bayside Recovery and Wellness Center. Aolani obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stetson University and a master’s degree in counseling with a concentration in clinical mental health counseling from Nova Southeastern University.
Aolani is a trained EMDR provider and is currently working on obtaining her EMDR certification through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). She is certified in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Aolani has training in Sand Tray Therapy and incorporating Jungian psychology into EMDR. Aolani is a Certified Veteran and Military Mental Health Professional (CVMHP) and is a Certified Event Interventionist (CEI). She has experience working with active-duty service members, veterans, and first responders at an outpatient and intensive outpatient level, as well as a counselor at an outpatient substance abuse treatment center. Aolani believes that a healthy body and mind are key components of mental health and healing. She has a passion for helping those with a history of trauma and addiction.
In her spare time, Aolani enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and being active. She hopes to help her clients find new meaning and purpose in their lives as they heal from their traumas.
